I have a book for anyone looking for a good book to read. It is a novel and very thought provoking. It is called the Life of Pi by Yann Martel. I read it for a book club that I am in and I haven't been able to stop thinking about the story. It is more of a book for adults to read than for young adults because he was shipwrecked and some scenes are a bit graphic. It is about an Indian boy named Pi who survived a shipwreck in a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger for 227 days. It can be slow at times but the ending keeps you thinking. I am really not one who recommends slow moving novels but this one is worth it to finish it to the end and the author is very descriptive.
Does anyone have a good book that they recently finished that wants to share please let me know.

One of my most favorite books is "Jane Eyre", it's an absolute classic and was one of the most beautifully written books I've ever read. The author Charlotte Bronte makes the english language something eloquent and lovely. I also loved "Wuthering Heights" written by Emily Bronte (Charlotte's sister). "Life of Pi" sounds like a very interesting read.
TiAnn & Rissa - that is an awesome book, I recommend it to any girl or woman. I read it while PJ was on his mission. I bought Pride and Prejudice by Jane Eyre last year and it was just too much while in school but I'm planning on reading it one day.
I have the book Jane Eyre but I haven't yet been able to get very far in it. I will try again because I remember when Mom read it when I was in high school and she was obsessed. I will try again. I bet it is one of those books that once you get into the language it is a lot easier to read. Thanks TiAnn!
I am so glad you are coming Thursday night. I am so excited. I hope you got my email cause you are now on the list. I was going to recommend Twilight and remembered you told me it was good. I am so addicted to it.
Rissa, I have found two entertaining series of books. The first ones are about a southern lady, Miss Julia Springer. She is a spit-fire lady who tends to mix herself up in different situations. They are really entertaining. I don't remember what the title of the first book is, but they are by Ann B. Ross.
The second set that I adore are murder mysteries by Joanna Fluke. Each one centers around Hannah Swenson, a lady who owns a goodie bakery in a small town in Minnesota. they are great books, AND there are great recipes after every few chapters. I would recommend either one.
And some great books that I enjoyed recently were about a lady who lives in Botswana. I don't remember who the author is, but they are the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency books - there are about 8, I think. They are really entertaining.
