John sure learned some new tricks when we were up at my mom's house for 10 days. Among counting and constant ABC songs John learned the art of opening doors. Until now he could only open the doors with lever handles but now he can open doors with round door knobs. Oh Joy! After an exciting nap time, when John learned he could open the door, we took a trip to the store to get door knob covers. I think that was the best $2 ever spent. John was distraught and Brad and I were leaping with joy when John finally realized that he couldn't open his door and come out. Whoever invented this has my deep gratitude. Well, that is all the excitement around our house. You can tell we lead exciting lives. Hope you all have exciting days too.

I share your pain! Only I have yet to find a solution for my doors, because they are all lever ones. Lucky you!
Jo
I first read this post yesterday, and when I was at Lowes to buy things for the house project, I saw 10-packs of those knob covers and thought of you. It made me smile.
In other news, you guys look great! I can't believe all that John is learning and how big he has gotten! I'm glad you found us, so now we can keep in touch a little bit. : )
What do you do if your child's bedroom doesn't have a door? He learned to "open the curtain" months ago. Good thing he's still in a crib! ;)
Glad to know those things really work. We'll probably be investing in them ourselves in our next apartment.
Funny little John, Kali had so much fun with her cousin on our trip, the last couple of days she's been going around asking for him "Yon Yon". So we'll have to get them together again.
Congrats on getting into the program Brad! I'm very proud of you! Don't get too excited about the handle covers...It only took Silas a week to figure them out!
