We made a little adjustment to the recorder for John. Here is the video:<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><object width="320" height="266" class="BLOG_video_class" id="BLOG_video-48e73102b03f7acc" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="movie" value="http://www.blogger.com/img/videoplayer.swf?videoUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fvp.video.google.com%2Fvideodownload%3Fversion%3D0%26secureurl%3DqgAAAPCZD0ddCGBZjZs6HcCGJYdyzMuAt-cGamuIkvFQsxstGVQv8gCx-YS8H4CgxfzwR6oHyNL9Fye5mfCABr-gvl1VntXSsbWMNELmDlAvohDX4FymDsWDutK95ymL_NeVTq9bs-TsZZ2ydXQTFhaLCIH-qAX6-amFwUTAn-EG3Wc38W-QzN1xhEHeMpRyImKOBa4r_xzmzlVjeAyN5rAnZoDxGo3Li7v6KidLBAYDoMqr%26sigh%3DdtKfBcgXM1lc7c1sT-sogWGnkXE%26begin%3D0%26len%3D86400000%26docid%3D0&amp;nogvlm=1&amp;thumbnailUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo.google.com%2FThumbnailServer2%3Fapp%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D48e73102b03f7acc%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw320%26sigh%3Ddn6MEuPZHWvzqkkxAexv-kB_Ffw&amp;messagesUrl=video.google.com%2FFlashUiStrings.xlb%3Fframe%3Dflashstrings%26hl%3Den"> <param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF"> <embed width="320" height="266" src="http://www.blogger.com/img/videoplayer.swf?videoUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fvp.video.google.com%2Fvideodownload%3Fversion%3D0%26secureurl%3DqgAAAPCZD0ddCGBZjZs6HcCGJYdyzMuAt-cGamuIkvFQsxstGVQv8gCx-YS8H4CgxfzwR6oHyNL9Fye5mfCABr-gvl1VntXSsbWMNELmDlAvohDX4FymDsWDutK95ymL_NeVTq9bs-TsZZ2ydXQTFhaLCIH-qAX6-amFwUTAn-EG3Wc38W-QzN1xhEHeMpRyImKOBa4r_xzmzlVjeAyN5rAnZoDxGo3Li7v6KidLBAYDoMqr%26sigh%3DdtKfBcgXM1lc7c1sT-sogWGnkXE%26begin%3D0%26len%3D86400000%26docid%3D0&amp;nogvlm=1&amp;thumbnailUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo.google.com%2FThumbnailServer2%3Fapp%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D48e73102b03f7acc%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw320%26sigh%3Ddn6MEuPZHWvzqkkxAexv-kB_Ffw&amp;messagesUrl=video.google.com%2FFlashUiStrings.xlb%3Fframe%3Dflashstrings%26hl%3Den" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object> <br /></div><br />I am sure that all of you parents out there have had many bed times like this one on the video. They send out e-mails that give you a plan for the day of what to clean and it stresses not being a perfectionist and getting overwhelmed. I am loving it so far. If any of you haven't heard of this you should check it out. It helps SHE's (Sidetracked Home Executives) like me to organize my life. I have found it helpful with two babies.<br /><br />http://www.flylady.net/<http: net=""><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.flylady.net/images/press/flylady_cartoon.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px;" src="http://www.flylady.net/images/press/flylady_cartoon.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /></http:>Hughett's Fun Househttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03886723993724251583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6596178212668265674.post-88095412248134405792008-07-13T19:06:00.003-06:002008-07-13T19:15:28.944-06:00Great Idea.....NOT<div style="text-align: center;">Three bad ideas:<br />1. We had a lot of fun. It was like staying at a hotel but for free. We slept in a nice bed, swam in their pool, watched TV and movies, ate their food, and used the washer and dryer. It was a lot of fun. We were watching their big beast dogs for them while they were on a family camping trip. We are always glad when they ask us to watch their house for them. I always liked playing house as a little girl and it is even more fun to play house now because the house is real, the food is not plastic, and the babies interact back. When we got back home John was really emotional. He really loved it over there, especially when Kali came home. After we painted this afternoon and it was time for a bath he asked if he could take a bath in Kali's bath. She has fun toys that stick to the wall. Maybe we will have to get some for John.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;">Here are some pictures from our week.<br /><a style="left: 340px ! important; top: 0px ! important;" title="Click here to block this object with Adblock Plus" class="abp-objtab-02165684253111818 visible ontop" href="http://widget-e3.slide.com/widgets/slideticker.swf"></a><embed src="http://widget-e3.slide.com/widgets/slideticker.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" quality="high" scale="noscale" salign="l" wmode="transparent" flashvars="cy=bb&amp;il=1&amp;channel=1585267068852490211&amp;site=widget-e3.slide.com" style="width: 400px; height: 320px;" name="flashticker" align="middle"></embed></div><div style="width: 400px; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&amp;at=un&amp;id=1585267068852490211&amp;map=1" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-e3.slide.com/p1/1585267068852490211/bb_t047_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide1.gif" ismap="ismap" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&amp;at=un&amp;id=1585267068852490211&amp;map=2" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-e3.slide.com/p2/1585267068852490211/bb_t047_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide2.gif" ismap="ismap" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&amp;amp;at=un&amp;amp;id=1585267068852490211&amp;amp;map=2" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-e3.slide.com/m/1585267068852490211/bb_t047_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide9_1.gif" ismap="ismap" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&amp;at=un&amp;id=1585267068852490211&amp;map=F" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-e3.slide.com/p4/1585267068852490211/bb_t047_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide42.gif" ismap="ismap" border="0" /></a></div>Hughett's Fun Househttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03886723993724251583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6596178212668265674.post-67529134928515548012008-07-08T11:42:00.003-06:002008-07-08T11:53:29.558-06:0010+ lbsBrian is sure getting chunky quick. We will be back on Friday before Brad has to work. Wish us luck on our first trip with two kids. This will be a good test for our trip to Utah at the end of July.<br /><br />We bought a van off my dad this weekend. He drove it down for us. We love it already. It will be so nice to have another car when Brad is at work and especially when he starts his program this fall and will be gone with the car all day. Brad is getting all of the registration and licensing done on it this morning. It will mostly be an around town van so no road trip this week, but I love it. Thanks Dad!<br /><br />Also, Happy Birthday to Johnna yesterday. We hope you had an awesome day and that you will get your new puppy!Hughett's Fun Househttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03886723993724251583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6596178212668265674.post-30744452786710944462008-06-29T09:06:00.006-06:002008-06-29T11:10:24.416-06:00Birthdays and Family<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SGelxPQGGxI/AAAAAAAAAOU/hJZCecYqjDA/s1600-h/s41038cb107795_5.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SGelxPQGGxI/AAAAAAAAAOU/hJZCecYqjDA/s320/s41038cb107795_5.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5217320958658222866" border="0" /></a> Yesterday was John's 2nd birthday. Happy Birthday John!! We had a joint birthday party for him and my dad Paul yesterday at a park. Dad came down to celebrate his 50th birthday with his kids. We are so glad that he came. We found out that Brian does not have cystic fibrosis. We are very happy for our little one. They are going to do some different tests in a few weeks to make sure but we are pretty sure that the results won't be any different. We have a lot to be thankful for. The Lord has really blessed our little family.<br /><br />We also had John's birthday party on Tuesday but my mom took the pictures from that and we will post them soon. We are grateful for the two years that we have had with him and especially for the great health that he has had this past year. Every year is a blessing.Hughett's Fun Househttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03886723993724251583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6596178212668265674.post-1538391974191255832008-06-26T10:53:00.004-06:002008-06-26T11:18:37.003-06:00A New VideoI found another video on CF today. I have to warn you that it nearly brought me to tears. For me that is saying something. After watching a video like this I always feel thankful. Thankful for Johns health, the medicine that we have, our doctors, and people like in that video who share their lives with us. I find that I need to watch a video like this once and awhile. It keeps my mind on how important it is to keep John healthy and not slack just because he is doing great now. I encourage each of you keep a look out for the Cystic Fibrosis Walk in your area and donate to it and do the walk. Its always encouraging and fun. We missed the Walk in Boise this year. This was around the time Brian was born. We will do better this next year and keep you all in the loop.<br /><br /><a style="left: 0px ! important; top: 15px ! important;" title="Click here to block this object with Adblock Plus" class="abp-objtab-06196277966051636 visible ontop" href="http://www.youtube.com/v/Twjg7v-pTO4&amp;hl=en"></a><a style="left: 0px ! important; top: 15px ! important;" title="Click here to block this object with Adblock Plus" class="abp-objtab-06196277966051636 visible ontop" href="http://www.youtube.com/v/Twjg7v-pTO4&amp;hl=en"></a><object height="344" width="425"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Twjg7v-pTO4&amp;hl=en"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Twjg7v-pTO4&amp;hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" height="344" width="425"></embed></object><br /><br /><br />On a lighter note, here are some pictures of John and his friend Levi playing in our little pool and castle out back. Thanks again Hannah for the castle! Our friend Kristen Woofinden is sitting next Marissa. Kristen is expecting another little bundle of joy. They are lots of fun. Marissa is holding Brian while I take pictures. The weather here has been HOT! Tons of sun down here. All in all they had lots of fun.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SGPMuU6f3TI/AAAAAAAAANM/ECOsXjl9HJo/s1600-h/IMG_2257.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SGPMuU6f3TI/AAAAAAAAANM/ECOsXjl9HJo/s320/IMG_2257.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5216237889685282098" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SGPMunmpYnI/AAAAAAAAANU/7r7KIBW0wQs/s1600-h/IMG_2258.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SGPMunmpYnI/AAAAAAAAANU/7r7KIBW0wQs/s320/IMG_2258.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5216237894702293618" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SGPMu-3d2NI/AAAAAAAAANc/gJMAX05yMGA/s1600-h/IMG_2259.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SGPMu-3d2NI/AAAAAAAAANc/gJMAX05yMGA/s320/IMG_2259.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5216237900946856146" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SGPMvBR7hLI/AAAAAAAAANk/5obByfYGv2I/s1600-h/IMG_2260.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SGPMvBR7hLI/AAAAAAAAANk/5obByfYGv2I/s320/IMG_2260.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5216237901594723506" border="0" /></a>Hughett's Fun Househttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03886723993724251583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6596178212668265674.post-11499343516717746192008-06-22T18:43:00.004-06:002008-06-22T19:04:12.183-06:00Look-Alike MetersMy friend Krystal had these on her website and i thought it was fun so I stole the idea. He has gained 15 ounces since last week. He went from 7lbs1oz to 8lbs even in one week. What a little chunker he is turning into. We are very happy that he is gaining weight so well. He seems very healthy. We still haven't heard anything about whether he has CF or not, but everyday that passes we are more certain that he doesn't have it. Even though the check-up went well Brian had a very bad day. He got his heel poked for the PKU test during the appointment (which he didn't like) and got circumcised in the afternoon (which he was very angry at me for the rest of the day). <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SFxP2d9TrQI/AAAAAAAAAMc/PI-kEvXI55g/s1600-h/IMG_2248.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SFxP2d9TrQI/AAAAAAAAAMc/PI-kEvXI55g/s320/IMG_2248.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214130265761492226" border="0" /></a>He was so angry with me! It was a necessary evil though. It is for his own good. He screamed more yesterday than ever in his short life. He would calm down a bit and then remember that he was in pain and start to scream again. When he wasn't screaming he taking heaving breaths. He sure got worked up. Hopefully he will thank us for it later.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SFxP2u7wNZI/AAAAAAAAAMk/0Tquh5DSflc/s1600-h/IMG_2244.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SFxP2u7wNZI/AAAAAAAAAMk/0Tquh5DSflc/s320/IMG_2244.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214130270318376338" border="0" /></a>Shawny took a picture of her boys laying side by side and posted it on her blog a while ago. I thought I would do the same thing but instead of showing how big Tucker was getting I wanted to show just how huge John is compared to Brian. John is more than twice the size of Brian. My baby got so big. He use to be so small.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SFxVjSEABpI/AAAAAAAAAM0/RNe9jO6T8ZE/s1600-h/IMG_2242.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SFxVjSEABpI/AAAAAAAAAM0/RNe9jO6T8ZE/s320/IMG_2242.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214136533220591250" border="0" /></a>When I was taking these pictures Brian let out a loud toot and John thought that it was funny. He started to pull his finger and say "fart". He learned that from Brad. He always has John pull his finger whenever he can. John thinks that it is super funny and laughs every time.Hughett's Fun Househttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03886723993724251583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6596178212668265674.post-19352740497428226492008-06-20T11:18:00.002-06:002008-06-20T11:21:27.241-06:00A Nice Video About CF<span style="font-size:130%;">This was a nice video I found on YouTube about a girl who has CF and how she deals with it. John doesn't like it when you steal his nose. In fact he hates it so much that he had quite the meltdown when we were playing around and I pretended to steal his nose. I had to apologize to him for being a nose thief and for laughing. I thought it was very funny that he was so upset about it. I also had to show him that it wasn't his nose in my fingers but my own thumb. For the rest of the night he kept saying "no no nose". I guess having your nose stolen is very traumatic.<br /><br />John was also very cute this morning when he was trying to figure out how to cover up his legs with his shirt. It took him a while to figure it out. He is so funny sometimes. He sure makes my day fun.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SFMthUXrUKI/AAAAAAAAALg/KHPGGISRNTE/s1600-h/IMG_2228.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SFMthUXrUKI/AAAAAAAAALg/KHPGGISRNTE/s320/IMG_2228.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5211559244224745634" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SFMtsV17VeI/AAAAAAAAALo/XBMJtdrJ4GU/s1600-h/IMG_2227.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SFMtsV17VeI/AAAAAAAAALo/XBMJtdrJ4GU/s320/IMG_2227.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5211559433598621154" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;">He was very proud of himself.<br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />Brian is doing well. He is spitting up more than he use to. I don't know if it is that he is just eating too much and getting sick or if it is something I am eating that is making him ill. I know that it is normal for a baby to spit up because John did it all the time but it has been a couple years since I had a newborn and maybe it is normal for them to spit up more as they get older. He is still super cute and quite the cuddler. We are happy and adjusting very well to having Brian in our home. Hope you are all doing well. Thanks for all the support and gifts and food that we have received. We are blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!<br /></div></div>Hughett's Fun Househttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03886723993724251583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6596178212668265674.post-78254611751406034272008-06-11T09:17:00.002-06:002008-06-11T09:29:47.416-06:00No News is Good NewsWe had Brian's first doctor's appointment yesterday. When he was born he was 6lbs 14oz and was 6lbs 10oz when we left the hospital. As of yesterday morning he was 7lbs 1oz. He has gained 7oz in 5 days. We are pretty excited about that. That explains were all his food is going. He eats a lot every two hours. As for the CF test, they send the newborn screening test (CF was included in the test at the beginning of the year) off the day we left the hospital and if there is anything abnormal from any aspect of the screening they will notify the doctor within a day or two. If everything is normal then it could take a couple of weeks at most to get the results back. We are taking the lack of news as a good sign that Brian doesn't have CF. Of course he still could, but no news is good news for now.<br /><br />John likes Brian now. It only took 5 days for him to accept the fact that I am Brian's mommy too and that no one was going to come and take him back. Now he will walk up to him and say "Hi baby Brian" and then give him a kiss on his head and then lay his head on Brian's very gently. It is so cute. I know that once Brian is big enough to play with John it will be way more fun for John.Hughett's Fun Househttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03886723993724251583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6596178212668265674.post-25474624149522888592008-06-09T18:37:00.004-06:002008-06-09T18:51:40.122-06:00Big Brother<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SE3NQQj5ajI/AAAAAAAAALI/EWOR3UXnaag/s1600-h/IMG_2202.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SE3NQQj5ajI/AAAAAAAAALI/EWOR3UXnaag/s320/IMG_2202.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210046023144663602" border="0" /></a>John has really been growing into his big brother role. He was a little hesitant at first but now he loves his "baby Brian". Sunday he asked if he could hold Brian and so we let him have Brian on his lap. He was very gentle.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SE3N1OF8p0I/AAAAAAAAALQ/Cu1TqWfzBmo/s1600-h/IMG_2207.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SE3N1OF8p0I/AAAAAAAAALQ/Cu1TqWfzBmo/s320/IMG_2207.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210046658137335618" border="0" /></a>Today John came up to me and tried to lift up my shirt and asked "Where baby Brian?" I guess he thought I was hiding him under my shirt. I haven't been hiding him under my shirt for almost 5 days now.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SE3O6JtW5FI/AAAAAAAAALY/ZhsXOkAa1ZM/s1600-h/IMG_2209.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SE3O6JtW5FI/AAAAAAAAALY/ZhsXOkAa1ZM/s320/IMG_2209.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210047842371429458" border="0" /></a>Brian has been such a wonderful baby. He only cries when he is hungry. He sleeps well and eats well. We are still waiting to hear back about the tests for cystic fibrosis but we are very hopeful because he hasn't been showing any of the signs that John did. We can't be sure until we get the test results but for now we are content and loving the new addition to our family. This time it's not a joke. Well here is the story.<br /><ol><li>Marissa started to have contractions off and on for awhile. Yesterday around 4 they got pretty strong. We decided to go in. They checked us out and to make a story short they made us walk around for a couple of hours and see how much we would progress. Marissa went from a 3 to a 4. It was then that they decided to admit us. Marissa requested an epidural and got one. From then on it was a waiting game. After awhile Marissa had some seriously hard contractions that got her crying. We called in the nurse a couple of times and from the first time when she was a 7 and the next time when it was "OK YOUR READY," was only a few minutes. The birth was very good. Marissa was a trooper. This birth was so much better than the first one with John. It seemed like everything went better this time around. Marissa is doing great. She feels better than she has in weeks. The moment the baby was out she felt a huge relief. <br /></li><li>Brian was 6lbs. 14oz., 19.5 inches long. That was the exact weight that John was. Hopefully this is a sign that the two will have lots in common and be friends.<br /></li><li>We have tried to find out who he looks like but we don't have a clue. We will rely on your ideas on that for the next bit. We did think that he looked a bit like Grandpa Harvey. The baby is doing great and we couldn't be happier. He is a mild baby so far and eats like there is no tomorrow. He was born and one minute later he was rooting. He was an instant latch baby. It took John awhile to figure out the whole eating thing. <br /></li><li>Well I don't have a lot of time. I am tending John and trying to get him to bed here soon. I will be posting some more pictures soon. Here are a few pictures that we took today.<br /></li></ol><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SEiM2okQs2I/AAAAAAAAAJo/VIZ_T02OxI8/s1600-h/IMG_2190.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SEiM2okQs2I/AAAAAAAAAJo/VIZ_T02OxI8/s320/IMG_2190.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208567839284310882" border="0" /></a>Here he is sleeping. I have had false labor contractions for the past two weeks and last night I got my first true contractions just to have them end again. I was up from 2 am until 5 am with text book contractions that were about 7- 10 min apart and painful enough that I couldn't sleep. Then they stopped. I got my hopes up again and everything. Someone needs to have a heart to heart with this child and tell him that he either needs to be born or sit there quietly until he decides to do so. Enough crying wolf. I am ready whenever you are baby. Lets get going! Enough playing around! Any tips on encouraging this child to start labor? I could use all the help I could get!!Hughett's Fun Househttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03886723993724251583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6596178212668265674.post-66856485906157527022008-06-01T16:27:00.005-06:002008-06-01T17:16:48.561-06:00Still HereI hope that we got a lot of you with our last post. That has been in the making for a little while. Although I thought the post was super funny, I can't even begin to express how much I wish it were true. I am ready to be done. I will not go into all my complaints because that will take too long and just make me feel sorry for myself so we will talk about the fun we have been having while we wait for the baby to come.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SEMjDM0zQ2I/AAAAAAAAAIs/R5BLMpuc7Ss/s1600-h/IMG_2172.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SEMjDM0zQ2I/AAAAAAAAAIs/R5BLMpuc7Ss/s320/IMG_2172.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5207044132059693922" border="0" /></a>The weather has been sunny and rainy the past week and so we have been trying to catch pieces of sun to go play in. John has been restless and grumpy the past few days (he might be channeling my emotions) so we have been trying to think of extra fun things to keep his mind busy. We went to feed the geese at Julia Davis Park and when we arrived there were tons of goslings waddling around together. They were all excited to get cheerios John was chucking at them. I always love feeding the geese with John because he ends up eating a few pieces before throwing the rest to the geese. I like geese as long as I don't have to get too close to them. Brad always tries to get some to come and attack me or he will throw food on my feet so they will snap at my toes. He is lucky that I love him so much.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SEMtUhczLsI/AAAAAAAAAI0/_OpIDVLGFlU/s1600-h/IMG_2170.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_SYyK6JFWtAw/SEMtUhczLsI/AAAAAAAAAI0/_OpIDVLGFlU/s320/IMG_2170.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5207055424770223810" border="0" /></a>John has been one naughty body today. Every time he is doing something he shouldn't and I tell him to stop, close it, or get out he just looks at me like I am speaking Chinese. He is totally taking advantage of my fatigue and will get into everything before I even realize what is going on. Does anyone have a child sized straitjacket that I could borrow until this baby comes? Let me know if you do! I would also take any instructions on how to properly restrain a 23 month old with duct tape. Anything would work at this point. Wish me luck on surviving the next 10 days with my sanity.Hughett's Fun Househttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03886723993724251583noreply@blogger.com
